Abel Ramirez, Jr.,  of San Antonio passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, after a long illness. He was 36.

Born July 27, 1984, in San Antonio, he was the son of  Abel Ramirez, Sr., and Ruth Gaitan Ramirez.

Abel loved people and he made a difference in the lives of many in serving through church youth ministry at several churches and in working with troubled youth in San Antonio.

Abel loved the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs and he cheered them on  LOUDLY. He loved music and was a movie buff, with a love for many movies and shows. He was a gifted artist and used his art to touch many lives. Most of all, Abel loved family and was a tremendous influence in so many lives. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his son, Kalel, and passing on to him his love and talent for art.

He is survived by his parents; son, Kalel Ray Ramirez of San Antonio; sister, Duvelsa R. (Alex) Navarrette of Dallas; and nephews, Abram, Joel and Elias Navarrette.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Guinn-Horger Chapel, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
