Abel Rodriguez, Sr., of D'Hanis passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at the age of 79.

Born March 5, 1942, in D'Hanis, he was the son of Santiago and Angelita Alcorta Rodriguez.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Angelica; son, Alfred; two grandchildren; and siblings, Alejos Rodriguez, Eloisa Barrios, and Santiago Rodriguez, Jr.

Abel is survived by his wife, Anna Adelina Rodriguez; children, Abel Jr. (Donna) of D'Hanis, Adriana "Ada" Watson (Dean) of Paris TX, Augustine (Eva) of San Antonio, Abelina "Abby" (Francisco "Pancho") of D'Hanis, Anthony "Guy" (Angelita) of D'Hanis, Azalia Vincent (Jimmy) of Killeen, and Alifonso Rodriguez of D'Hanis; 23 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Ruben Rodriguez (Dawn) of D'Hanis.

Visitation at Holy Cross Catholic Church will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Oct.  29, followed by Rosary at 10:30 and Mass at 11:00. Services will conclude at the church.
