Adolfo T. Campos, age 48, of San Antonio went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, Apr. 27, 2010. He was the son of the late Pedro E. and Petra (Tambunga) Campos. Adolfo was born in Hondo Feb. 3, 1962. Adolfo attended elementary, junior high and high school in Hondo, then went on to continue his schooling at SWT Jr. College in Uvalde, where he earned an Associates degree. His employment as a meat processor for Sam's Club afforded him several "associate of the month" awards, nominated by his peers in recognition for a job well done and dedication to his work. On Oct. 11, 1986, Adolfo married Maria Alicia Escamilla in Hondo. On Oct, 14, 1993, a son, Caleb Adolf Campos, was born. Soon after marriage, he relocated to San Antonio where he started a family and concentrated on providing a good home to his wife and son. Adolfo had recommitted himself to the Lord and was baptized through the Holy Spirit at CornerStone Church, John Hagee ministry in SanAntonio, on Jan. 31, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Elida Salazar. In addition to his wife and son, he is survived by his brothers, David Campos and wife, Janie of New Mexico, Ramiro Campos and wife Jeanette of San Antonio, Pedro Campos Jr. of Hondo; sister, Irma Morin and husband Jimmy of Castroville. A prayer service was held Friday and funeral service was at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, at the Guinn-Horger Chapel, with Pastor Gilbert Gauna of San Antonio officiating. Pallbearers were Rey Escamilla, Orlando Salazar, Jessi Barrientes, Timothy Campos, Landon Morin, and Oscar Torres. Interment was at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
