Adolpho E. Botello, Jr., of Hondo, 52, passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2021.

Born Jan. 30, 1969, in Hondo, he was the son of Adolpho L. Botello, Sr., and Oralia Esquivel Botello.

Adolpho served in the U.S. Army. An all-around handy man, he worked for the Big Spring Herald, on oil rigs in New Mexico, and did fencing, welding, construction and carpentry.

He is preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Anastacio and Ysidra Lopez Botello and Francisco and Maria Guarjardo Esquivel.

Among those left to hold his memory are his mother, Oralia E. Botello; sisters, Bridget B. Botello, Marcelyn L. Botello and Michelle L. Botello; and girlfriend, Michelle Leal, all of Hondo; and nieces and nephews, Kentrell, Lakeisha, Julio, SeChelle, Kadejha, Ladejha, Latrell, Kanaie, CharEllez, BianKKa, Marco, LaVance, Autumn, Andre, Eric, JoChelle T2, and Zhavia.

Visitation will be Friday, Mar. 5, 6 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel, with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church will be Saturday, Mar. 6, at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery Annex.
