Alberto R. Lopez, Age 57 years, 9 months, and 15 days, of Hondo, Texas, died on Friday, February 25, 2005. He was born in Hondo, on May 10, 1947, the son of Jesus & Diamantina (Rodriguez) Lopez, Jr.. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Maria de Jesus Lopez. Alberto is survived by his daughters Graciela Lopez DeLeon and husband Marty of Hondo, Lamar Lopez Cabrera and husband Fernando of Yancey; grandchildren Karyssa DeLeon, Adrianna DeLeon, Martin Jesus "M.J. DeLeon, Naryia DeLeon; sister Adelina R. Lopez of Hondo.. The Rosary was recited at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Sunday February 27, at 7:00 pm and the Funeral Mass was at 3:00 pm Monday, February 28, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo. The pallbearers were Raul Aguirre, Arnulfo Rodriguez, Lupe L. Alvarez, Bobby Dominguez, Ramon R. Garcia, Armando Gonzales, Richard Herrera, Fernie Rodriguez, and the honorary pallbearers were Jesse Arcos, Jr., and Genaro Avila. The burial followed at the Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
