Alejos Quintanilla of Hondo, Texas, passed away October 5, 2005, at the age of 82. He was born May 8, 1923, in Mexico, the son of Ponciano & Maria (Garza) Quintanilla. He was preceded in death by His parents, wife Juanita (Tapia) Quintanilla; brothers Ponciano Quintanilla, Jr., Ector Quintanilla, Mario Quintanilla; sister Elida Trevino. Alejos is survived by his sons Alejos Quintanilla, Jr. and wife Estella, Emilio Quintanilla and wife Esperanza, Rudy Quintanilla and wife Isabel all of Hondo, Eric Quintanilla and wife Alysha of Lytle; daughters Gloria Sanchez and husband Jose O. of Hondo, Sylvia Constante and husband Trinidad of Hondo, Sulema Fernandez and husband Ricky of Bandera, Leticia Gauna and husband Juan of Kerrville; brother Alex Quintanilla of Hondo; sisters Odelia Garcia of Hondo, Tita Ramirez of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mary Rose Rodriguez of Hondo. The Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 7, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home and the Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr Jeff Pehl, will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday October 8, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo. The pallbearers were Ernest Rene Quintanilla, Emilio Quintanilla, Jr., Alex Quintanilla, Eric Constante, Eugene henry Fernandez, Jr., Daniel Constante. Interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
