Alford Emil Weber, age 88, of Hondo, passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008. He was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Hondo, the son of Emil Alford and Hulda M. (Breiten) Weber. He retired as a carpenter and mechanic. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Josie Krenmueller and Nuella Bell Oefinger. Alford is survived by his wife, Adeline (Krenmueller) Weber; daughter, Aldeen Lanning and husband Bernard "Sonny" Lanning; grandsons, Lonnie Lanning and wife Yvette and Nathan Lanning; and three great-grandchildren, Chelsea Ormond and husband Regy, M'Lea Lanning and Amanda Lanning. . Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at First United Methodist Church, Hondo.
