Alfred Scott "Scottie" Krakow of Houston, TX, 62, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024.
Born May 4, 1962, in Crystal City, TX, he was the son of Alfred Isaac Krakow and W. Jean Nester.
Scottie graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He was always upbeat and lit up a room with his infectious laugh and hilarious stories. He was a people person and always had great stories to share about his past adventures on the road touring.
He toured and created light shows with artists like Barry Manilow, Cher, Meatloaf, Michael Jackson, Tom Jones, Willie Nelson, Phil Collins, and many more. Scottie was a Master Lighting Designer and loved every minute. He was often called Scottie Light by those in the industry. He was very creative and put together beautiful light shows for every assignment he accepted. He was truly an artist at his craft!
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Henry Jerome Krakow. And his two black cats Roo and Boo.
He is survived by his fiancée and long time friend, Nancy Gurski; his sister, Kandace Campbell and her husband John; and nephews Trey Turner and Trent Turner.
A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
