Alice Geuea Mumme Hartman, 99, of Hondo went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013. She was born June 29, 1913, in Hondo, daughter Charles and Ellie (Elms) Geuea and the fourth oldest of nine siblings. On July 9, 1932, she married Raymond Robert Mumme, Sr., and on Sept. 7, 1996, she married Roy Hartman. Alice was preceded in death by both her husbands; son, Raymond Mumme Jr.; granddaughter, Deborah Francovich; great-granddaughter, Sabrina Helou; and her brothers, George Geuea, Edgar Geuea and Chester Geuea; and sister, Nora Anderson. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Johnny Brieden Sr. of Castroville; daughter, Jerlean Johnson of Helotes; daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Sid Ravkind of Houston; grandchildren, Cindy and Jay Helou of San Antonio, Terry and Bobby Studer of Uvalde, Roy and Tina Mumme of D'Hanis, Chrie and Richard McCue of Arlington, John and Lisa Brieden of Hondo; Harold and Joni Brieden of Castroville, DeAnn and Mac Qualls of Kerrville, Janet and Dan French of Castroville, Edward Francovich, Janette Francovich, Robert Francovich, all of San Antonio, Dawn Ravkind, Michelle and Tommy Lowe, and Marsi and Jason Strong, all of Houston; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Florence Leinweber of San Antonio, Helen DeLong of California, and Joe Nell Leinweber of Bulverde; brother, Vernon Geuea of California; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 17, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home, Hondo. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. The family suggests memorials in her name may be made to American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
