Alton Louis Schlentz of Hondo, Texas, passed away February 9, 2006, at the age of 81, in San Antonio. He was born January 4, 1925, in Hondo, the son of Charles Walter & Lola (Helmke) Schlentz. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Jacob Matthew Schlentz; brother Leslie Frank Schlentz. Alton is survived by his wife Martha J. (Meeks) Schlentz of Hondo; sons Charles E. Schlentz and wife Michelle of Hondo, Glen R. Schlentz and wife Hope, Michael K. Schlentz and wife Kara; daughter Brenda Hrncir and husband Wayne; grandchildren Glen Ray Schlentz, Caleb Joshua Schlentz, Jonathan M. Schlentz, Kristen E. Schlentz, Garrett Schlentz, Alyssa Hrncir, Victoria Hrncir, Monica Flores (wife of the late Jacob Schlentz); great grandchildren Jacob Schlentz, Jr., Bryan Schlentz. The Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home and the Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Charles Schlentz, will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday February 15, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hondo. The casketcarriers were Glen Ray Schlentz, Caleb Joshua Schlentz, Jonathan Michael Schlentz, William Schlentz, Martin Louis Schuh, Andres Leos Interment will follow in the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
