Alvaro "Landy" Rodriguez, age 61, of San Antonio passed away Thursday, Mar. 24, 2011. Born Aug. 25, 1949, in San Antonio, he was the son of Marcos G. and Tomasa (Torres) Rodriguez. He was an auto parts salesman. Alvaro is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Criselda Rodriguez. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Charlotte (Suarez) Rodriguez; daughter, Criselda Elias and husband Renato; son, Landy Rodriguez; four grandchildren, Marcie, Carly, Ellaine, and Nathan; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Rosary was recited Sunday, Mar. 27, at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral service was at 11 a.m., Monday, Mar. 28, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Pallbearers were Oscar Torres, Zachariah R. Castro, Joe Torres Jr., Eddy Guajardo, Landy Rodriguez and Renato T. Elias. Interment was at Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
