Amelia Molina Cortez, Age 89 years, 8 months, and 22 days, of D'Hanis, Texas, died on Thursday, January 20, 2005. She was born in Laredo, on April 29, 1915, the daughter of Ernesto & Elena (Castillo) Molina. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Loreto Cortez, son Jose Roberto Cortez; brother Pedro Molina; sisters Raquel Molina, Concha Ibarra, Guadalupe Gomez. Amelia is survived by her daughters Celia Garcia and husband Roman of D'Hanis, Raquel Deleon of Kerrville, daughter-in-law Delia Cortez of D'Hanis; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; brother Jose Molina and wife Guadalupe of Hondo. The Rosary followed by the Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 22, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church with burial following in the San Francisco Cemetery, D'Hanis. The pallbearers were Rafael Garcia, Orlando Garcia, Jaime Garcia, Johnny Limón, Ralph Martinez, Michael DeLeon, Rene L. Ruiz.
