Andrea Mary (Mumme) Proctor was born in Hondo, Texas, on October 13, 1938, to Rosa and Clarence H. Mumme, Sr. She attended Lacy Elementary School and Hondo High School. While attending Hondo High School, she began working at O.A. Fly's drug store. There she met TL Proctor who was in the pilot training at the Hondo Air Base. She and her super banana splits won his heart, and they were married on October 16, 1954. She traveled widely during her twenty years as an Air Force officer's wife. Her oldest son Ryan was born in West Palm Beach, Florida, and her sons Keith and David were born in California. For many years, after retiring from Air Force life, she was an active member in the Extension Homemaker's organization. A life-long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Hondo, she was baptized there in 1938. A member of St. Paul's Ruth Circle she served on many church committees through the years. An excellent cook, she won many ribbons for her desserts, and her Italian creme cake was a county favorite. She is survived by her husband, TL Proctor; her three sons and wives - Ryan and Michelle of Hondo, Keith and Sherree of Uvalde, and David and Angela of Ruidoso Downs, NM; twelve grandchildren - Clifton, Ryan Curtis, Thomas, Amanda, Shawn, Cassandra, Marc, Tyler, Scott, Briana, Rochelle, and Jeanelle; three great-grandchildren - Alexandria, Joanne, and Ryan Duane; her two brothers and wives - Clarence and Betty Mumme and Charles and Alice Mumme; many cousins, nephews, and nieces; an uncle Albert Reus; and an aunt Ella Belzung. The Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor David Mayer, will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday February 20, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hondo. The casket carriers are Bradley Mumme, Mathew Mumme, Russell Meyer, Eric Meyer, John Billings, Justin Billings. Interment will follow in the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
