Andrea Gauna Rodriguez of Hondo, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 30, 2007, at the age of 79. She was born in Yancey, Texas, November 29, 1927, a daughter of Luis and Louisa (Gomez) Gauna. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elpidio Rodriguez, Sr.; son, Elpidio Rodriguez, Jr.; brothers, Anastacio Gauna, Jesus Gauna; sisters, Maria Gauna, Filemona Ybarra. Andrea is survived by her son, Raul Rodriguez and wife Mary of Fredericksburg; daughters, Oralia Lopez of Kerrville, Josefine Rodriguez of Hondo, Eloisa Trinidad and husband Erasmo of Hondo; 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; brothers, Trinidad Gauna of Hondo and Ramond Gauna of DeLeon; sisters, Guadalupe Padron of Hondo and Felice De La Garza of San Antonio. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home on Monday, April 2, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, April 3, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The pallbearers Chris Villarreal, Johnny Rodriguez, Austin Rodriguez, Andrew Trinidad, Alphonse Gauna, Saul Rodriguez. Burial will follow at the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
