Anita Elma Pleasant, age 63, of Helotes passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013. Born in Dallas, July 6, 1950, she was the daughter of Raleigh R. and Betty (Smith) Pleasant. Anita was an accounts clerk with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She loved tracing her family roots. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and a beloved daughter, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her daughter, Leslie Ruth Bourgeois-Ollerman and husband Scott Ollerman of Helotes; grandchildren, Sydney Leigh Bourgeois-Ollerman and La Donna Deigh Ollerman; mother, Betty (Smith) Newman of Hondo; and brother, Joseph L. Pleasant and wife Jacquelyn of Bulverde and Boerne. Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, at First Baptist Church, Hondo, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund or the charity of one's choice.
