Anna Lou McWhirter entered into rest Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital. She was born in Greenville, Texas, on Nov. 10, 1946, to Weldon and Ed Winnie McWhirter. She was preceded in death by her father and is survived by her mother. She attended Hondo schools and graduated with a BA degree in Special Education from East Texas State University. She taught in the Dallas school system. Her hobbies were oil painting, composing greeting cards, reading, fishing and cooking. Lou touched our hearts and left us with joyful memories. Funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2 p.m., at First United Methodist Church. The casket carriers were Jackie Winkler, Larry Winkler, John Wilson, Robert Zuberbueler, Stan Scott, Jamie Johnson. Interment was in Hondo Cemetery, Woodmen of the World Section.
