Annie Selma Hohenberger Hargrove of Hondo passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2019.

Born at home near Tarpley, Aug. 18, 1922, she was the daughter of Walter and Henrietta Bausch Hohenberger.

For more than 20 years, Annie was a cafeteria worker for Hondo ISD. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. And she looked forward to bingo games and trips to Kickapoo with friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, William E. "Billy" Hargrove; daughter, Marian F. Schneider; brothers, Walter Jr., Adolph and Leonard Hohenberger; and sisters, Edna Hohenberger, Wanda Moravitz, Minnie Adams and Katherine Powell.

Surviving are her son, Richard W. Hargrove of Hondo; grandchildren, Nicholas W. "Neeko" Hargrove of San Antonio and Kathryn "Katie" (D.J.) Dockery of Bryan-College Station; great-grandchildren, Tesslyn "Tessie" Hargrove, Katelynn Dockery and Andrew Dockery; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, 5 to 7 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, Nov. 10, 2 p.m. at  Guinn-Horger Chapel, followed by interment at Tarpley Cemetery.
