Antonio "Bear/Oso" Constante of Hondo, 50, passed away at his home Wednesday, Oct 5, 2016, after a brief battle with cancer. Born July 5, 1966, in Chicago IL, he was the son of Trinidad and Irene Sanchez Constante. Antonio worked as a carpenter, a painter, and in road construction. He was a good listener and a good father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He enjoyed cleaning, cooking, barbecuing, listening to music and spending time with his friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Oralia Correa; and brother, Nicanor Constante. He is survived by his son, Michael Constante of Hondo; grandchildren, Isaiah Constante, Everette Constante, Michael Constante Jr. and Ryan Constante; and siblings, Corina (Armando) Fuentes, Frances "Kika" Vasquez, Katrina "Kata" (Celestino) Salazar, Linda Constante, Jose Luis (Olga ) Constante, Trinidad "Wedo" (Jean) Constante Jr., Johnny "Worm" (Diane "Paloma") Constant; and the mother of his son, Rachel Cerda. Visitation will be from 56 to 8 p.m. with Rosary recited at 7 p.m, on. Tuesday, Oct. 11, at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. Pallbearers are Michael Constante Sr., Isaiah Constante, Lupe Salazar, Jose Luis Constante Jr., Gabe Sanchez and Juan Sanchez Jr.
