Antonio Moncada age 66, passed away Sept. 24, 2003. He was born on Nov. 11, 1936, in Yancey, Texas, to Gregorio and Anastacia (Contreras) Moncada. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Josefina (Mendoza) Moncada; sister: Maria M. Guerra. He is survived by his sons: Esequiel Moncada and wife Audrey of D'Hanis, Jerry Moncada and wife Elizabeth of Hondo; daughter: Delma Trevino and husband Gerald of Yancey; five grandchildren; brothers: Isabel Moncada and wife Amelia of Yancey, Manuel Moncada and wife Mary of Hondo, Guadalupe Moncada and wife Lucy of D'Hanis, Juan Moncada and wife Lenore of Yancey; sisters: Reyes Lopez and husband Chon of Yancey, Eugenia Pedroza and husband Chano of San Antonio, Martha Sanchez and husband Jose of Yancey, Lucy Neuman and husband Glenn of Hondo. The Rosary is scheduled for Saturday, September 27, at 10:00 a.m. and the Funeral Mass will follow Saturday, September 27, both at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in D'Hanis with burial following at the Yancey Cemetery. Pallbearers were Adrian Sanchez, Abel Moncada, Alvin Guerra, Julian Guerra, Greg Guerra, Gabriel Lopez.
