Armando T. "Cookie" Ibarra, age 85, of Hondo passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015. A former castor at Universal Rundle, he was retired. He is survived by his wife, Lydia Ibarra of Hondo; sons, Jerry (Edna) Ibarra of Hondo, Bobby (Margie) Ibarra of D'Hanis and Michael (Margie) of Hondo; daughter, Linda Santos Ibarra of Hondo; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 22, 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, Nov. 23, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will be at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. Pallbearers were James R. Estes, Jonathan Ibarra, Justin Ibarra, James Hattery, Zac Castillo and Orlando Reyes.
