Arthur A. "Sonny" Brucks of Hondo, Texas, passed away March 17, 2006, at the age of 78. Sonny was born on February 2, 1928 in Hondo to Arthur Allen & Mary Jane (Mumme) Brucks. He was a building inspector for the City of Houston. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Rita (Schroeck) Brucks. Survivors are his daughter, Judee Parish and husband James of Houston; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren; sister, Kathlyn Strother and husband Duane of Hondo; and special friend, Bonnie Tschirhart of Castroville. Visitation will be Thursday, March 23, 5 to 8 p.m., with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Chapel in Hondo. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Friday, March 24, at Guinn-Horger Chapel.
