Aubrey W. Mooney was born April 15, 1918 in Oxford, MS. He passed away July 29, 2003 in Gladewater, TX at the age of 85 years, three months, and 14 days. A. W. was preceded in death by his parents: Zelotes W. & Anna Lowe (Davis) Mooney wife: Agnes Sophie (Hartman) Mooney; daughter: Geneva L. Mooney; grandson: David Mooney He is survived by his son: William H. "Bill" Mooney and wife Linda of Mexia; daughter: Kathryn Winters and husband Richard of Gladewater. The Funeral Service was at 2:00 pm Saturday August 2, at New Fountain United Methodist Church. Pallbearers were Vernon Grunewald, Byron Hartnett, Elgin Wiemers, Olen Wiemers, Nick Zuckero, Ralph Tindall; honorary pallbearers: Scott Mooney, Larry Landeche, Todd Winters, Daymon St. John, Zach Supuluer. Interment followed in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section Section.
