Born near Hondo May 14, 1927, she married her childhood sweetheart, Charles W. McAnelly in 1947. Auldine and Chuck were born 4 months apart, 3 miles apart, and the families had known each other for generations! They raised their four children in San Antonio and Houston.
"Our Mom loved sewing clothes for her family, Boy Scouts with her sons, gardening, antiquing and taking pictures of Texas bluebonnets.  She and Chuck enjoyed square dancing with their church as well as polka dancing. They were devoted to their Methodist church. After Auldine and Chuck retired, they moved back home to Hondo, TX. Auldine joined the Hondo Art League and became an artist who loved painting scenic landscapes, flowers, and still lifes," her daughter said.
