Aureliano "Lanny" Muñiz of Hondo, Texas, passed away December 10, 2005, at the age of 71. He was born November 12, 1934, in Hondo, the son of Ermelindo & Sabina (Aguilar) Muñiz. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jose Muñiz; sister Clara Villasaña; sister-in-law Ramona Muñiz; brother-in-law Jesse Henderson. Lanny is survived by his brother Carlos Muñiz and wife Elosia of D'Hanis, Eddie Muñiz of Hondo, Santiago Muñiz and wife Alvina of San Antonio, Frank Muñiz and wife Ester of Dublin, Ireland; sister Ambrosia Henderson of San Antonio; sister-in-law Carolina Muñiz of Devine; brother-in-law Jose Villasaña of Sabinal. The Rosary followed by the Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr Jeff Pehl, will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday December 13, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo. The pallbearers were Alfredo Muñiz, Henry Moncada, Randy A. Ortiz, Daniel Muñiz, Jose Muñiz, Jr., Joe Villasaña, Jr. Interment will follow in San Francisco Cemetery, D'Hanis.
