Aurelio Nira of Hondo, 65, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Born Aug. 31, 1958, in Hondo, he was the son of Ernesto and Beatrice Villa Nira, who preceded him in death.

Aurelio had a big heart and loved his children, grandchildren, siblings and parents dearly. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Nira; son, Willie Nira; grandchildren, Leyson Palomo, Zeyvier Palomo, Lindsay Nira, Adreana Nira and Feliciano Nira; and brothers, Arnulfo Nira and wife Susan, and Arturo Nira.

Family and friends will gather Tuesday, June 25, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, at Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.

Pallbearers are Andy Perez, Michael Constante, Isaiah Constante, Kaleb Vela, Leyson Palomo and Amadeus Wolf.
