Aurora Santillano Dominguez, age 99, of Hondo passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2015. Born in San Antonio, May 11, 1915, she was the daughter of Jesus and Epifania Garcia Santillano. She was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is remembered as a loving, caring lady ready to help anyone in whatever was needed. Aurora was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rumaldo Dominguez; son, Vicente Dominguez; granddaughter, Sandra Perales; brothers, Juan, Macario, Jose and Benito Santillano; and sisters, Louisa, Teodora, and Benigna Santillano. Also her niece Ignacia Trevino Briseno and nephew Nicolas Trevino. Survivors are her great-grandchildren, Oscar Dominguez and Mike Perales; and son-in-law, Jimmy Perales; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 23, 5 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel, with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be Tuesday, Feb. 24, 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with interment at Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
