Benjamin Vizcarra of Hondo, 30, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019. Born Sept. 9, 1988, in Sonorita, Mexico, he was the son of Jose Manuel Vizcarra and Yvonne DeLeon Vargas Vizcarra. Although he was unemployed, it didn't stop him from being optimistic. He always greeted everyone he met with both a combination of a smile and a warm "peace" sign in hand. His hobbies were many, however, above the rest he favored being a Gamer, both PC and XBOX. He appreciated music, especially Rap. He knew how to write lyrics really well, and he would even Rap them in his spare time. He is survived by his parents; daughters, Makayla Vizcarra of Crystal City, Alina Vizcarra of Hondo and Zoey Ylena Vizcarra of San Antonio; sister, Sophia Marie Lara; and brothers, Joe Manuel (Rebecca) Vizcarra Jr., Noel Vizcarra and Elias (Kara) Vizcarra, all of Hondo. Memorial service will be at 7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Private interment will be Sunday, Feb. 3.
