Berniece Brannan Edwards, of D'Hanis, passed away at home on November 30, 2019 at the age of 88. She was born August 7, 1931 in Mirando City, Texas to J H Brannan and Ruby Rush Brannan.

Berniece graduated from Harlandale High School in 1949.

In 1959, Berniece married Wilbur Edwards. She raised five children and was a grandmother to seven and a great-grandmother to three.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Bruce Crooker of College Station, Rick (Christy) Crooker of Houston, Sherrie (John E.) Crain of D'Hanis, Philip Bryan (Jana) Edwards of Helotes, and Denise (Stephen) Duffy of D'Hanis; grandchildren, John Jacob Crain, Karrie Jo (Joshua) Sharpless, Kelly (Rochelle) Crooker, Jackson Edwards, Danielle Duffy, Taylor Duffy, and Jordon Edwards; great-grandchildren, Liam Crooker, Cahal Crooker, and Jeriko Sharpless; sister, Bett (John) Leach of D'Hanis; sister-in-law, Angie Brannan of Smithville; brother, K.M. (Sandra) Watson of Jones Creek as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Berniece was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Bob Brannan.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.

Reception to followed at The Owl's Nest, 1101 19 ^th Street, Hondo, Texas.
