Betty Ruth Weber Boehle of Hondo, 82, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018. Born in Bandera June 6, 1936, she was the daughter of Fritz and Erna Meckel Weber. Betty was raised in Bandera and graduated from Bandera High School in 1954. She married Hilmer Ben Boehle on June 12, 1954. After marriage, they moved to the family farm and then two years later moved to the house in Hondo where they raised their sons, Blake, Brian and Russell. Betty worked for Jack Winkler Motors for most of her life. She and Hilmer enjoyed going to the dog races in Corpus Christi, fishing on Lake Mathis and baling hay. She was devoted to helping Hilmer with every aspect of his life. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ray Allen Weber. Survivors include her husband of 64 years; sons, Blake (Marlene) Boehle, Brian Boehle and Russell Boehle, all of Hondo; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation on Saturday, Sept. 8, was held prior to the funeral service at 10:00 at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel. Interment is at Quihi Cemetery.
