Betty L. Britsch, age 83, of Houston, passed on to be with our Lord May 19, 2013. She was born Nov. 5, 1929, to parents, Thomas L. Seydel and Henrietta Stafford Seydel of Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Tom Willms and sister-in-law, Ester. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gerald Britsch, and her two daughters, Beverly A. Nichols and husband, Tim, of Sunnyvale, CA; Barbara J. Mills and husband, David, of Pearland, TX; grandson Austin J. Mills; and sister, Marion Wade of Kingwood, TX. She suffered great health difficulties in her life including migraine headaches in her early years and severe osteoporosis in the last 18 years of her life, which kept her in a wheelchair for 13 years and bed bound for 5 years in nursing homes. Even though she was in pain, she always attended church whenever possible and enjoyed taking holy communion in the nursing home when her church pastor visited her. A short visitation is Saturday, May 25, 10-10:30am at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home. Interment will be in Hondo Cemetery with a graveside service.
