Betty Lynn Jacobs Carter of Yancey passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, at the age of 64.

Born in San Antonio, Aug. 2, 1958, she was the daughter of Thomas Earl Jacobs II and Betty Jean Gould Jacobs.

She was preceded in death by her father; stepfather, Gerald Harris; brothers, Tom Jacobs III and Jerry Harris; and sisters, Connie Corley, Donna Murphy and Linda Skloss.

Survivors include her mother, Betty Harris; children, Bobby Carter, Dawna Carter and Linda Carter; and siblings, Larry Miller (Cruz), Larry Harris, Richard Harris, Bobby Dwayne Harris, Chrissy Henderson (Jeff), Sandra Reyes, Thomas Harris and James Harris.

A private service is being planned. Interment will be at Yancey Cemetery.
