Bonnard Rothe, Age 83 years, 6 month, and 20 days, of D'Hanis, Texas, died on Thursday, September 23, 2004. He was born in D'Hanis, Texas on March 3, 1921, the son of Walter Oscar & Maude Lucy (Hanley) Rothe. Bonnard was a member of the Texas & Southwest Cattle Raisers Assn., and the D'Hanis Lions Club, former D'Hanis ISD School Board, and member of various other state and local organizations. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law Horace M. Cox, Jr.. Bonnard is survived by his wife Stella (Paschal) Rothe; son Walt Rothe and wife Kathy of D'Hanis; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren; sister Annette Cox of San Antonio The Rosary will be at 9:45 am followed by the Funeral Mass at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in D'Hanis. The pallbearers were: Rothe Cox, Reagan Rothe, Aaron Cooper, Ryan Rothe, Kenny Cox, Tommy Cribbs. The honorary pallbearers were Robert A. Rothe, John P.Tondre, John Poerner. The burial will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery, in D'Hanis.
