Carl Dean McNew, 61, of Arlington, TX and Hondo, TX, passed away June 26, 2009 at his farm near Hondo. He was born Dec. 24, 1947 in Rosebud, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Milburn Lee "Buddy" McNew and Mary Jane Chambers McNew Robbins. His parents-in-law Clinton and Lillian Lindeburg Martin also preceded him in death. Dean graduated from Austin Travis High School in Austin, TX in 1966. In 1970 he graduated from SWTSU. He taught school for 1 year and then served in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1973. He was a technical sales representative for the aircraft and petroleum parts industry. On Aug. 15, 1970, he and Ronda Lee Martin were married at the New Fountain United Methodist Church in New Fountain, TX. Survivors include, wife, Ronda Martin McNew of Arlington and Hondo; sons and daughters-in-law, Clint and Heather McNew of Boerne, TX, Matt and Christy McNew of Southlake, TX; grandchildren, Brody, Lakyn and Hudson McNew and "one on the way"; sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Robert Amaya of Lockhart, TX; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Nelson and Paulette Burell Martin, Jerry and Jeanne Martin, all of Hondo; several nieces and nephews. The Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home will be open for visitation on Monday, June 29, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service will be Monday, June 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home in Castroville, TX.
