Carlos Fernando Gallardo Sr. of Hondo, 67, passed away suddenly Friday, Oct. 6, 2017. Born March 30, 1950, in Hondo, he was the son of Domingo and Gloria Vela Gallardo. Carlos was a safety inspector with FAA. He is preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Juan; and sister, Juanita. He is survived by his wife, Adelita V. "Adela" Gallardo; son, Carlos Fernando (Velia) Gallardo Jr. of San Antonio; daughters, Monique J. (Michael) Reynosa of San Antonio, Kendyll C. (Jonathan) Velasquez of Hondo, Madalyn C. (Arthur) Castillo of San Antonio and Jay Gallardo of Hondo; four grandchildren; and brothers, Ruben (Goldie) Gallardo, Domingo Jr. (Carrie) Gallardo, Gloria (Ruben) Reyes, and Lupe Coronado, all of Hondo. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. and Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 13, all at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 2101 Ave. K, Hondo. Interment will be at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
