Carol Ann Shelton, age 65, five months, and 12 days, of Hondo, passed away March 27, 2004, in her home after a long illness. She was surrounded by many friends and family. Carol was born on October 15, 1938, in Rochester, NY, to Carl & Jean (Karczewski) Figler. Carol was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband: Tom Shelton; children: Shelly Berkowitz and husband Allen of Medford, New Jersey, Jim Shelton and wife Kim, Sharon Eamer and husband Robin, Evelyn Rubenstein and husband Jerry, Steve Shelton and wife Michelle all of Rochester, New York, Bob Shelton and wife Diane of Tampa, Florida, and Christopher Shelton; sisters: Doreen Gagne and husband Robert, Linda Clark both of Rochester, New York. Carol was a loving grandmother and aunt and will be missed by her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Carol and Tom have been blessed with beloved friends who have touched their lives in a special way that words cannot express. Carol retired from CITCO Refinery in July of 1997. She and Tom relocated to their country home in Hondo for their retirement years. A visitation reception is planned from 1:30 pm until 3:30 pm in the Parish Hall. The Rosary Prayer is scheduled for 3:30 pm on Tuesday, March 30, at the St John the Evangelist Catholic Church. with Memorial Mass following at 4:00 p.m. Additional services are pending in Rochester, New York.
