Cassandra Lynn Santos, age 18, of D'Hanis passed away Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born Dec. 15, 1990, the daughter of Henry Jr. and Marinda (Spannagel) Santos. She was a 2009 graduate of D'Hanis High School. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Russell DeWayne Spannagel. Cassandra is survived by her parents; brother, Jarrett Santos; sister, Christen Santos, all of D'Hanis; grandparents, Henry and Lupe Santos of Yancey; and Diana Krause of D'Hanis. Rosary will be recited at 3:45 p.m., followed by Funeral Mass at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in D'Hanis.
