Catarina Valles Bustos of Comanche, 79, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017. Born in Kosciusko, TX, May 5, 1937, she was a daughter of Domingo and Jesusita Gonzales Valles. Catarina was truly an amazing woman, strong, smart, crafty, passionate, courageous, generous, and a woman of faith and devotion. She was always giving, never once asking for anything in return. She would open her home and heart, feeding everyone, making sure they were full and happy and feeling like they were part of the family. Catarina had a heart of gold, a smile made of sunshine, and her laughter was like music to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Porfirio Aguiñaga and Pete Bustos; daughter, Carolina A. Silva; sons, Porfirio Jr. and Gregorio Aguiñaga; sisters, Fidelia Barron and Frances Perez; brothers, Inez Valles and Domingo Valles Jr.; and six grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Anita Niño, Luz (Randy Moughon) Aguiñaga, Mary (Oscar Gutierrez) Cardenas, Martha Aguiñaga, Diana A. (David V.) Speer; sons, Joe Porforio (Maria Belen) Aguiñaga, Reynaldo (Karen) Aguiñaga, Jesse Albert (Blanca) Aguiñaga; son-in-law, Robert Silva; grandchildren she raised as her own children, Raquel A. (Eddie) Bilbraut and Abdon (Nakita Lopez) Aguiñaga; 38 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Benita Quintanilla, Modesta Ramos and Julie Valles; and brothers, Ray, Tony and Pedro Valles. Visitation will be Tuesday Jan. 17, 6 to 8 p.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Memorial Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18,, 10 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church, preceded by interment at San Francisco Cemetery.
