Celia (Sarabia) Pedroza, age 67, of San Antonio passed away Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at Coppell, near Dallas. Born Feb. 18, 1943, in Yancey, she was the daughter of Pedro and Maria de Jesus (Rodriguez) Sarabia. She was a critical care nurse. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Francisco S. Pedroza, who died in 1999. She is survived by her son, Joseph Pedroza and wife Martha of Dallas; daughters, Carmen Pedroza of California and Francis Ann "Maribel" Pedroza of Dallas; granddaughter, Midori Pedroza of Dallas; sisters, Margarita Lacy and husband, Richard Black of Rocky Ford CO; Elisa Tovar and husband Guadalupe of San Antonio, and Erlinda Guerrero of Yancey; and brother, Rafail Sarabia and wife Antoinette of Phoenix AZ. Rosary at 10:30 a.m., followed by funeral Mass at 11 a.m., will be on Tuesday, Sept. 14, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo. Interment will be at Yancey Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joseph Pedroza, Cory Machado, William Herzog, Abel Alonzo, Pete Sarabia, Audelio Sarabia, and Gilbert Perez.
