Celida Garza Gonzales of Hondo passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016. She was 85. Born in Hondo, April 9, 1931, she was the daughter of Gumecindo Ybarra Gonzales and Maria Garza Gonzales. Celida was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frank, Luis, Ramon and Jesse Gonzales; and sister, Maria Barrientes. Survivors include her son, Henry G. (Misty) Gonzales of Castroville; grandchildren, Rick (Melodie)Gonzales, Eric Zachary Gonzales, Sally Gonzales and Mea Raine Gonzales; great-grandson, Draven Gonzales; and brothers, Jose G. Gonzales of Hondo and Gumecindo Gonzales of Dunlay. Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 4, 5 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 5, 11 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
