Charles Russell Finger, age 83, passed away on June 7, 2005 in Hondo. He was born on January 15, 1922, in Hondo, the son of John Marcus & Emma Theresa (Rothe) Finger. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers John Martin Finger, Herman Finger, Jerome Finger, Guenther Finger, August Finger; sisters Evelyn Boon, Frances Ferguson. Charles is survived by his daughter Charlyn Burrell and husband Spencer of D'Hanis; grand daughter Kalyn Burrell of D'Hanis; brother Thomas Finger; sisters Mary Emma Knapp of San Antonio, Rose Marie Dyess and husband James of Amarillo; brother-in-law James Ferguson; sister-in-law Kathleen Finger. The Rosary was at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, and the Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Wallis Stiles, was at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 11, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in D'Hanis. Burial followed at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
