Cheryl Kiyomi Kobata, age 45, of Hondo passed away Friday, Apr. 6, 2012. Born Sept. 19, 1966, in San Jose, CA, she was the daughter of Sus and Yvonne (Iseri) Kobata, who survive her. She is also survived by her sons, Christopher Kobata of San Jose, CA, and Curtis Upchurch of Hondo; daughter, Ashley Upchurch; sister, Lisa Meinzinger, all of San Jose, CA; three grandchildren; and fiancé, Duane Shelly. Visitation will be Monday, Apr. 16, from 6 to 7 p.m., with a service at 7 p.m. at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel.
