Clemencia Muñoz Villarreal, age 90, of D'Hanis, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 in Uvalde. Born Nov. 23, 1922, in Devine, she was the daughter of Jose Maria and Sofia (Flores) Muñoz. Clemencia was born and raised on a ranch in Devine. An avid homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, quilting, and cooking for family gatherings. She also worked at the D'Hanis Nutrition Center for 25 years. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roberto Villarreal; brothers, Timoteo, Rudy, Jose, and Dionicio Muñoz; and sisters, Petra Cruz, Maria Guajardo, Aurora Raby and Eloisa Herrera. Surviving are her sons, Robert Villarreal and wife Dolores of Pueblo CO, Felipe Villarreal and wife Charleah and David Villarreal and wife Delma, all of Hondo; daughter, Sofia Jackson and husband Rex of Uvalde; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Cruz Rodriguez of Arizona. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 18, 6 to 7 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, followed by interment at San Francisco Cemetery. Pallbearers are Roger Pedroza, Joe Cruz, Timmy Muñoz, Gilbert Villarreal, Evan Villarreal and Rob Villarreal. Honorary pallbearers are Fred Wenzlaff, Onofre Herrera, Roy Gonzales and David Rodriguez.
