Clyde Donald Johnson, age 78, of Yancey passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011. He was born June 11, 1932, in Wyandotte, MI, the son of William H. and Hazel (Hughson) Johnson. He was an accountant with ALCOA. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joy Delves. Clyde is survived by his wife, Judy (Berry) Johnson of Yancey; daughter, Sherry Sigler and husband Mark of Hohenwald, TN; son, Craig Johnson and wife Kathy of Columbia, TN; daughter, Laurie Caffey and husband Doug of Yancey; son, Kenneth Johnson and wife Nikki of Pflugerville; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill Johnson and wife Eve of Weatherford, Roger Johnson and wife Sue of Chicago, IL, and brother, Dan Johnson and wife Lynda of Wyandotte, MI. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 24, at the Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at Yancey Methodist Church. Interment will be at Yancey Cemetery.
