Connie Ellen Davis Stuart of Hondo, age 66, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021.

Born in Pearsall, July 14, 1955, she was the daughter of Lee Owen and Margaret Inez Murphy Davis.

After raising her daughter, Connie returned to school to receive her teaching certificate. She substituted for a time at Hondo and taught at Dilley.

A devoted homemaker, she enjoyed baking and sewing and had made numerous quilts for family, friends and the community. She was a generous and caring person who never met a stranger.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Glenda Inez Kieffer; and brother, Lee Roy Davis.

Survivors include her husband, Hadley H. Stuart; daughter, Christina Stuart of Corpus Christi; brothers, Johnny Tilford Davis of Hondo and James Andrew Davis of Karnes City; five nieces and four nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at Bethel Assembly of God Church, 202 N. Teel, Devine TX 78016
