Consuelo (Constante) Correa of Hondo, passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at the age of 87. Consuelo was born in D'Hanis Sept. 15, 1920, to Jesus and Maria (Aguilar) Constante. She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Juanita "Janie" Navarro; brothers, Francisco and Jenaro Constante; and sisters, Marianita, Juanita and Leonorsita Constante and Jesusa Garza. She is survived by her husband, Joe Correa; daughters, Ernestina Martinez and husband Lupe, Rebecca Sanchez and husband Juan and Estella Quintanilla and husband Alejos Jr., all of Hondo; sons, Joe Correa Jr. and wife Nelda and Richard Correa. all of Hondo, and Candelario Correa and wife Alicia of San Antonio; 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Trinidad Constante and Antonio Constante, both of Hondo. Rosary was led by Epifania Ybarra on Monday, Oct. 29, and Funeral Mass was celebrated by Fr. Ken Dakin on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m., both at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Pallbearers were Rene Correa, Rey Quintanilla, Steven Martinez, Carlos Quintanilla, Ricky Navarro, and Juan Sanchez. Interment was at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
