Corsinio "Kojo" Barrientes of Hondo, 76, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019. Born Oct. 3, 1942, in Hondo, he was the son of Jesus and Ramona Ybarra Barrientes. He was a carpenter by trade and had worked in several areas of construction. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Paul and Joe. He leaves behind his daughter, Eva Barrientes of San Antonio; sons, Ernest (Yvette) Barrientes of Hondo and Adam Barrientes of San Antonio; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sisters, Esther Turruviate of San Antonio, Eva Guedea and Sylvia (Louis "L.D.") Garza; and brother, Jessi Barrientes, all of Hondo. He will also be remembered by his long-time companion, Antonia Rodriguez of Hondo. Rosary will be recited Friday, Mar. 8, 7 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Mar. 9, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will be at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
