Thoro Lee "Crickett" Amberson of Hondo, Texas, passed away July 12, 2004, at the age of 68 years, 6 months, 16 days. Crickett was born on December 26, 1935, to Othro O. & Ona Mae (Wyatt) Adams in Medina, Texas. She was preceded by her parents; sister: Onella Chesson. Crickett is survived by her husband James Earl "Jim" Amberson; son: James O. Amberson of Hondo; daughters: Robyn A. Decker and husband Kirk of Hondo, Lynda A. Clarke and husband Patrick of Natalia; 5 grandchildren; stepdaughters: Annabelle Amberson Estep of Waco, Mary Jane Burnett of Jefferson; 2 stepgrandchildren; sister: Jo Russell, sister-in-law: Evelyn Brucks and husband George of Hondo; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 14, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home and the Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Thursday, July 15, at the First United Methodist Church of Hondo. Interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
