Curtis Alvis Long of D'Hanis, born Jan. 8, 1933, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at the age of 85. Curtis leaves behind his wife, Alyne G. Long; daughters, Donna R. Peterson (Eric) and Diane R. Torres (Joe), as well as grandchildren, Kristy King (Allan), Jennifer Millhouse (Sean), Jody Weinman and Kris Wilson (Rikki). He has six great-grandchildren, Haylie King, Alek King, Ben Millhouse, Jackson Millhouse, Caroline Millhouse and Kadence Wilson. He is also survived by his brothers, Joe Long and Roy (Carol) Long; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter E. and Ethel Montgomery Long; his brothers, Clifton Long, Everett Long and Walter N. Long; and sisters, Gladys Kemmitz and Florence Elliott. Curtis loved his family and friends and would help anyone with whatever they needed. His impact on those who knew him will never be forgotten. Since he requested no formal services, the family is celebrating his life privately together. He may be remembered with a donation in his name to a charity of your choice.
