Daniel H. Barrios of Hondo, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 7, 2008, at the age of 81 years. Daniel was born on March 31, 1927, in Hondo, Texas, the son of Donaciano & Juanita (Herrera) Barrios. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Maria (Gomez) Barrios; wife, Aurelia (Tapia) Barrios; daughter & son-in-law, Guadalupe & Armando Guerrero; daughter-in-law, Alicia Barrios; brothers, Efrain Barrios, Jose Barrios; sister, Maria Villarreal. Daniel is survived by his sons, Daniel T. Barrios of Hondo, David Barrios, Sr. and wife Cynthia of Hondo, Richard Barrios and wife Mary of Hondo; daughter, Theresa Soliz of Hondo; brothers, Ricardo Barrios of Hondo, Juan Barrios of Rosenberg, Tomas Barrios of San Diego, CA; sisters, Eufemia Hernandez of San Antonio, Guadalupe Barrios of Hondo, Lydia Palacios of Houston, Ermila Gonzales of Hondo, Yolanda Martinez of Houston, Maria Benites of Hondo. The Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. on November 9 at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home and the Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. on November 10, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The pallbearers were Joe Salinas, Armando Guerrero, Rick Barrios, Jr., Daniel Barrios, III, Efrain Barrios, Jr., David Anthony Barrios, Rick Donociano Barios, David Barrios, Jr. Burial will follow at the Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
