Darrell Dwain Rihn, age 59, of Hondo passed away Friday, May 25, 2012. Born Dec. 30, 1952, in Hondo, he was the son of Arnold Roy "Rusty" and Doris Marie "Bea" (Wernette) Rihn. He was a beverage salesman and operated the former J&L Liquor Store in D'Hanis. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dana Diane Rihn, and grandparents, Leonard and Alice Wernette and Frank and Hilda Rihn. Darrell is survived by his parents; brother, Dayle Rihn and wife Sally of Lytle; sister, Denise Watkins and husband Donny of D'Hanis; nephew, Robert Watkins; and nieces, Sarah Rihn, Katie Watkins, and Samantha Rihn; adopted daughter and grandchildren, Sherri Milam and Ethan Milam, Jaqlynn Ortiz and Lauren Ortiz, all of D'Hanis. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, May 27, at the Guinn-Horger Chapel. A private memorial service and interment at Hondo Cemetery, St. John's Section will be at a later date.
